Rewinding though, this morning we had an orientation meeting for next week's 5-day trip to Morocco. Everyone was under the impression that it was going to be an hour or two, but the meeting lasted four hours in a stuffy classroom and included two lectures from Spanish professors and a Skype conference call with my Spanish professor from Smith, Ibtissam Bouchrine, who was born and raised in Morocco. It was helpful to learn about the cultural differences we're going to encounter, but four hours was excessive. We also had no forewarning that the meeting was going to be so long, so I was mentally unprepared to sit for so long.
The rest of day I spent getting ahead on this weekend's homework and taking a sunset run. We leave tomorrow morning for two days in the city of Granada (in Spanish, granada means pomegranate), so I wanted to get a bit done before I come exhausted on Sunday evening. I'm looking forward to seeing another city and going out with Johanna again! Ok to bed- we're out the door at 7:30 tomorrow morning, which is before the sun even comes up here!
