Falafel, Froyo, Pomegranate, Chocolate

Last night I worked until 2am, and then didn't get to sleep until around 3. I'm not sure why I was so alert so late since usually I'm much more of a morning person, but I was powering through work so I kept going. This morning, however, I couldn't get myself out of bed for the life of me. I was going to go for a run before my politics class, but by the time I finally got up just an hour before class there was not enough time.

On my way to class this morning I filmed my walk on my iPhone. I'm still trying to figure out how to edit the video clip so that its in fast-motion instead of 8 minutes of me walking through the street, but I will post it when I figure it out. For now, a map will have to do:
Point A: Home;   Point B: Universidad de Córdoba Facultad de Filosofía y Letras

In Music we got our exams back, and I did really well. I'm satisfied with my grade, and hope the next one goes as smoothly as the first. Pilar is so difficult to understand in her hyper-excitement that it can be a little overwhelming trying to discern what information is useful and what information can be entirely disregarded, but apparently I've got the hang of it. Phew!

After music I took a walk to a shoe store in the Santa Rosa neighborhood that I often run by. They're never open when I pass, so today was my special day to make the trek and see the shoe variety. They had a ton of cute boots, but they were out of my size in all of the ones that I liked. The trip to Santa Rosa, however, was not in vain; I passed a "fruteria" on the way home and bought 3 massive pomegranates for 3 Euro. Happy girl. Right here.

Kim and I also got falafel for dinner and met up with a bunch of Preshquitas at 100 Mondtaditos for a drink. Some people wanted to stay out later, but Kim and I were tired, so we grabbed froyo and headed for home. And, as if the falafel and froyo didn't fill me up, I had to eat a pomegranate when I got home. Let's not forget, however, that no day is complete without a few pieces of dark chocolate. Luckily I have a stash in my nightstand drawer, so I'm enjoying it now as a write before bed. Very full, and very content. (On a side note, lunch today was mushrooms and ham. Blergh. I have a legitimate reason for all this late night calorie consumption. Most of my lunch went straight into my napkin.)

I hardly did any work today, which means that in addition to taking a long run and starting to put things together for Madrid, I also need to spend some quality time with my photo project and other academic materials.
