Yesterday, Friday, I spent most of the day writing my final Photography paper and doing some odds and ends around here. It was nice to have a day completely unbooked. I even got to take my summer clothes out of my dresser drawers and move them to my suitcase, and I had time to get back to the train station and buy train tickets for my mom's visit next week. For dinner, Amber and Sarah and I got falafel at one of the places on Plaza de la Corredera; its hard to say no to a falafel date when they're only 3 Euro and so delicious and un-Spanish tasting.
After falafel, the other Sarah was throwing a party at one of her Spanish guy friend's houses. The house, which is on the outskirts of Cordoba, it giant and so beautiful. We didn't really have our party in the house though, we used the pool house instead. Between the Preshquitas and Alejandro's friends, there were probably about 40 of us there. Supposedly this party was just a pre-game before going out to discotecas, but when everyone else when to the discos at 4am, I decided to go home. I wanted to get up this morning and be tired, but fully functional. I really like going out, but if I stay out too late it kills the entire next day for me that ultimately ends up not being fun at all.

This morning I spent some time wandering in San Basilio, the neighborhood where I live, taking pictures for my Photography project and enjoying the Saturday morning flower market.
Right around the corner from my house
Usually the statue is free-standing, but I really liked how they incorporated the flower market into the plaza to make it look like he's garden shopping.
Aside from that its been a really quiet day. I spent some time writing a paper for my Politics class and trying to get ahead on other school work. My mom arrives one week from today, and I'd like to spend as much time with her as possible. She arrives in ONE WEEK!
